We are responsible for supplementing our full-time career force at fires and during extreme weather events. In 2016, we participated in monthly training sessions here in the Village of Scarsdale and in numerous specialized training sessions at the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services in Valhalla. We completed more than 1,700 hours of training in 2016.
No, we'll train you and equip you to be a firefighter. Ongoing training sessions give you the skills and the experience to fight fires, promote fire safety and to respond in an emergency.
